The CRKT Thunderbolt is a heavy-duty liner locking folder series. If you study aircraft history you’ll find the name Thunderbolt connected both to the P-47 fighter and A-10 fighter bomber. They are both invariably described as “large, rugged, dependable.” Those words also fit Ron Lake’s locking liner design for the CRKT Thunderbolt.
The Thunderbolt has an InterFrame build with stainless steel liners, one locking, and CRKT’s patented LAWKS safety. Ron Lake designed this ergonomic handle with a center swell and grooved areas at the thumb and pommel. The 6061 aluminum scales are anodized charcoal gray with bronze anodized inserts that provide a nice contrast. The pocket clip, like the stainless steel frame is black oxide finished. The dual-grind Tanto-style blade is 8Cr14MoV stainless steel with a non-reflective black oxide coating. Fast one-hand opening is accomplished by a large oval thumb hole.
The 7133 Thunderbolt model is the larger size in the series and features serrated sections on the primary edge and secondary tip.
