The Mt. Rainier knife is part of CRKT’s 14K Summit Series; these knives are designed to be there when your life depends on it. Whether you’re summiting one of the 14,000 ft. North American peaks or using it as an EDC, these knives are great performers.
The CRKT Mt. Rainier has a high-carbon 420J2 stainless steel blade with a modified drop point shape and bead blast finish. The blade grinds have been engineered to retain maximum thickness at the tip and through the length of the spine. This knife has Triple-Point serrations to tackle tough material and the ambidextrous thumb studs make opening this knife a simple.
The handle features CRKT’s InterFrame locking liner in an open build design for easy cleaning. The dual liners are 420J2 stainless steel. Friction grooves at the lock and on the blade spine improve grip in wet and icy conditions. The nickel chrome plated zinc alloy scales have a “skeleton” design. Integrated into the design is CRKT’s patented LAWKS safety, which effectively converts your folder into a virtual fixed blade when the lever is slid forward. All fasteners are Torx, for easy maintenance, such as tightening the pivot screw for proper blade tension. Includes a tip-down pocket clip.
